Job Description:

Do you enjoy hands-on work and staying active in an organized yard environment? Are you mechanically inclined and interested in learning more about equipment, fleet maintenance, and small machinery?

Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. is hiring a Yard Labourer to assist the Yard Manager with the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of yard spaces, as well as the care of equipment, pickup trucks, and fleet vehicles. The role also supports yard and mulch production, including moving materials using small machines.

This is a part-time, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and wants to build practical skills in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Yard Manager with daily organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the yard.


• Clean, wash, and detail pickup trucks and other fleet vehicles.


• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of equipment, tools, and small machinery.


• Assist with yard and mulch production activities.


• Load, move, and carry materials, tools, and supplies using manual labor and small machines.


• Perform general labor duties, including heavy lifting and handling heavy loads.


• Assist with basic equipment and fleet maintenance tasks.


• Operate small machinery and equipment (training provided as required).


• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined and enjoys working with hands-on tasks.


• Interest in learning, or experience with, basic equipment and fleet maintenance.


• Physically fit and comfortable performing heavy lifting and labor-intensive tasks.


• Willing and able to learn how to operate machinery.


• Reliable, organized, and able to follow instructions.


• Comfortable working outdoors in a yard environment and varying weather conditions.

Compensation:

$20-$26 per hour. Wage based on experience and skills.

Schedule:

Part-Time: Monday to Wednesday
Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
