What you'll do:

Provide exceptional customer service to banquet Guests in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.

• Assist Guests to their table and accommodate any special requests.

• Leverage your strong communication skills to relay important information to Guests and your team.

• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries.

• Set tables according to event order, clients’ specifications and Stanley Park Pavillion standards.

• Set rooms for functions that have food venues required.

• Collaborate with service staff to ensure effective communication about available seating options.

• Anticipate guests’ needs (I.e., offer highchairs for young children).

• Assist with and coordinate restaurant set up and closing duties.

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

 

• You have at least 1 year of host or Food & Beverage experience.

• You THRIVE in a fast-paced environment and can multi-task with ease.

• You have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and bring ALL the energy to work every day!

• You’re dedicated to providing truly unmatched Guest experiences!

• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.

• You are highly collaborative and able to work in a team-oriented environment.

• You have excellent interpersonal skills – you're a true people-person!
• Hold a valid serving it right certificate. 

Considerations:

• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business,
• While performing the duties of this position, Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time,
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs,
• Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool.

The Capilano Group’s portfolio includes Moraine Lake Lodge, Moraine Lake Trading and Cathedral Mountain Lodge in the Canadian Rockies, Stanley Park Pavilion, Stanley’s Park Bar & Grill and Prospect Point Cafe and Gift Shop in Stanley Park, Vancouver and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, Capilano Trading Post in North Vancouver.

The wage for this position is $17 per hour.
