The Business DevelopmentManager - Data Centers is accountable for the success of businessdevelopment and sales efforts within a region for the Black & VeatchCommercial & Connectivity Business. The RGM will work for the SalesDirector, and will work in a matrix organization that aligns the goalsof Business Lines and Regional Profit/Loss centers. The RGM will befocused on a select number of targets and potentially strategicclients. Black & Veatch’s **Connectivity & Commercial business**is dedicated to creating and providing leading solutions tocommunication infrastructure, mission critical solutions, andcommercial enterprise clients. By joining our business, you will havethe opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge technology and workwith a team that moves quickly with decisions andexpectations. **Key Responsibilities**: - Developswinning strategies and participates in the preparation of proposalsfor prospective new business.
- Actively becomes engaged andprovides sales leadership in closing new business opportunities.
-Implements strategies that enable the Region to obtain needed newbusiness.
- Develops and coordinates appropriate relationship withclients in accordance with an account management program.
-Monitors, develops, and pursues new business opportunities in theregion.
- Manages business development budgets and businessdevelopment events in the region.
- Coordinates with other businessunits in the pursuit of business for the benefit of the entirecompany.
- Conducts all dealings with clients, external andinternal, with professionalism, integrity and high ethicalstandards.
- Provides prospect reporting, forecasts, clientfeedback and other information necessary to support business unit andcompany business planning.
- Actively uses Black and VeatchElectronic Client Management (eCRM) system.
- Develops proactiveclient account plans and winning opportunity strategies asappropriate.
- Acts as principal client activist for assignedclients and represents the voice of the client within internal Blackand Veatch meetings.
- Implements appropriate Black and Veatchscreening for new business opportunities.
- Acts in capacity of a"lead person".
- Does not have management responsibility for thepeople to whom they provide work direction

Does not have management responsibilityfor the people to whom they provide work direction.**PreferredQualifications**: - Previous Business Development/Commercialexperience with Data Center/Mission Critical Facilities.
-Training: Formal sales training for effective sellingtechniques Preferred Skills:.
- Strong sales traits,including tenacity, competitiveness, persuasiveness and overall peopleskills.
- Highly task oriented to focus on winning new business andachieving sales targets. Knowledge and overall understanding of Energyindustry; knowledge of industry business drivers and motivators. Teamplayer.
- Exhibits high ethical standards in business and in work;maintains a reputation of integrity among clients.
- Understandingof financial metrics including PGM, revenue, overhead costs, Profitand Loss, and Project Financials.
- Excellent communications/humanrelations skills (written, verbal, client service); ability tomaintain key relationships. Self-motivated.
- Ability to thinkquickly and anticipate questions when interfacing with clients.Ability to sell; strong negotiating and persuasive skills.
-Ability to interface with diverse personalities.
- Ability to thinkstrategically.
- Ability to forecast.
- Strong leadershipskills.
- Multi-tasking ability (prioritize, organize, schedulework).
- Good problem solving skills (identify, analyze, research,evaluate, resolve)**Minimum Qualifications**: -Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree (technical degreepreferred). 10+ years experience in direct selling, marketing, orproposal
