Senior Dry Bulk Operations Manager

Profile:

• University graduate or relevant sea going experiencie, Bussiness and Administration, Matitime Law, Finance, Quality Processes, Navy Engineers, etc.
• Additional Education related to Shipping or Supply Chain. 
• English and Spanish Advanced Proficiency (MUST). 
• 6 to 10 years’ relevant experience in dry bulk voyage and time charter operations.
• Good experience of dry bulk ports.
• Previous experience with maritime business software systems.
• Knows how to report.
• Answer messages fast and is available 24/7.

Responsabilities (prefixing, fixing and postfixing): 

• Operate 8 to 9 voyages or vessels per month as market demands dictate.
• Liaise with charterers, shippers, owners, agents, port authorities, ship’s Master/crew, supercargoes and other service providers as required both in load and discharge ports.
• Keep the Operations Way and its process aligned in the organization and deal with Strategic process matters (quality).
• Accreditation and Compliance Process for charterers and owners.
• PDA collections.
• Documents.
• Follow up on cargo readiness and cargo payment.
• Calculate lay times.
• Liquidate demurrage and detentions and deal with the internal struggles.
• Control and audit each delivery file.
• Present the daily index and trends.
• Manage claims and invoice collections.
