Oversee the Collections Operation, contributing to the organization's financial health and compliance with all relevant legislation. Develop and implement effective collections strategies to maximize overall recovery while minimizing customer churn and optimizing resource utilization.
Developing the team members to transition the operation from an automatic collection process to a negotiation-oriented profile, thereby increasing recovery rates from operations.
Reviewing and proposing improvements in collections policies and negotiation strategies to maximize the efficiency of effective contacts.
Re-evaluating the team structure to build a high-performing team that meets or exceeds its performance metrics, including exploring outsourcing opportunities.
Assessing the current technology used in collections operations, proposing improvements, and leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and collections effectiveness
Improving decision-making and action plans through collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as lending leaders and collections business analysts
Deep knowledge in Collections Operations Management
Proven experience (at least 5 years) in collections operations management, preferably in a financial services or similar industry.
In-depth knowledge of collections strategies, techniques, and regulatory requirements
Strong understanding of collections management principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Experience with mid- to large-sized in-house operations, with a minimum of 50 agents.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to team members, stakeholders, and clients.
Strong analytical and quantitative mindset
Analytical abilities with proficiency in data analysis techniques
Demonstrated ability to use analytical and quantitative skills to drive strategic decision-making.
Problem Solving
Capability to analyze challenging situations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues that may hinder the collections process
Capacity to make sound judgments under pressure and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
Negotiation
Proficiency in negotiation techniques to handle complex debt situations and reach favorable outcomes.

Native Spanish speaker fluent in English.
Live in Bogotá and work from our office.
