JOBSUMMARY: The Email Marketing Director at Miles performs in a highlyvisible and cross-functional role, leading the Email Marketing Teamwhich provides strategic marketing for the full life cycle of emailautomation, user journey, CRM, compliance and other email servicesfor Miles Partnership’s internal and external stakeholders. TheEmail Marketing Director organizes and manages the day-to-dayworkflow of all projects, acting as the liaison between the emailmarketing team and account service teams. Working directly with theclients and senior leadership, the Director acts as thethought-leader in this space and will lead development ofstrategies, programs, and initiatives meant to assist theorganization and its clients in meeting its long-term goals andobjectives. Candidates must possess excellent communication skillswith the ability to manage and communicate with a team of creativeand technical professionals. A demonstrated history ofsimultaneously managing multiple programs and projects and able tothrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, adaptingquickly to changing deadlines and always flexible in shifting tasksto meet deliverables. Experience prioritizing and managing a wide array ofprojects, client deliverables, and team culture. Ability to reviewand distill multiple sources of information to support strategy andprovide impactful contributions to email marketing programs.Thrives in a fast-paced environment (virtually + in person).Ability to communicate high-level concepts and overall businessdirection, organize information quickly, and summarize succinctly.A calm, empathic listener who is conscientious and adept in solvingissues at all levels of a project. Skillful problem solver, able todistill complex challenges into clear, simplified solutions thatsupport client and team objectives. Unparalleled attention todetail and eager to evolve ever-changing knowledge. Demonstratedability to think critically and provide marketable solutions inconceiving, developing, and producing tactics. Excellentcommunicator verbal and written for cross-functional teams.Collaborator with account teams, product managers, creatives andothers within the organization to produce and deliver complex emailmarketing strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads by example for theemail marketing team with an exceptional ability to push strategiesfor CRMs, automation, user journey, and implementation across ateam of creatives, content writers, developers, email marketingmanagers, and account services. Master of email system platforms,integrations, marketing technology systems, and pushing boundariesof success requirements. Grows, manages and leads a team of emailmarketing subject matter experts, providing guidance, coaching, andsupport to foster a high-performing and collaborative environment.Sets and drives the email marketing team's goals and holdsaccountability for reaching team, individual, and client goals.Drives email marketing innovations, enhancements, and evolutionbeyond client requests, scope, and current services, consideringpotential impacts and overall company benefits in partnership withcross functional teams. Acts as the trusted first contact forinternal teams on email marketing challenges, new ideas, conferencespeaking opportunities, and pitches, establishing industryexpertise in travel and tourism. Represents Miles Partnership andclient accounts in meetings virtually and in-market and buildsstrong relationships with clients, internal teams and industrystakeholders. Manages day-to-day deliverables in collaboration withthe client and production teams Identify and provide ongoing keymeasurements. Analyzes reporting with suggestions for correspondingprogram adjustments. Develop strategic business cases working withcross-functional teams outlining business opportunity, rationale,and execution plans to achieve the vision for the opportunityacross teams and services. Gather customer insights and feedbackand drive the learnings back into and across the organization.Responsible for creating a positive environment for client success,team success and Miles success. Passionate about serving andmentoring others on the team is a high priority. REQUIREMENTS: 8+years directly related to strategic email services for automation,user journey, compliance, and data management. Comprehensiveunderstanding of creative processes and techniques – includingdigital platforms 5+ years of experience in cross-functional teamswithin an agency preferred 2+ years experience managing team ofpeople 5 or more 5+ years of experience working with mid-seniorlevel customers to understand the motivation, timeframe andacceptable level of effort for agency projects Expert knowledge ofemail system platforms, cross-functional team collaboration andproject management tools. Excellent ability to adapt and driveprocesses for email marketing through innovation, problem-solving,new service development and ongoing support of email lifecycle.Able to manage team priorities and workflow while coordinating withproject teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals, andassignments as needed Exceptional ability to create & managecomplex schedules with overlapping priorities and deadlines andadapt to shift priorities quickly and examine issues bothstrategically. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, bothverbally and in writing Able to effectively manage relationships,both internally and externally Display a dependable, strong workethic Responds positively and constructively to client and peerfeedback.
