Unsettled Marketing Associate (Remote)

Unsettled is seeking a Marketing Associate  to join our team in a full-time, fully-remote capacity.

Unsettled is a travel company for independent and remote workers who seek adventure and meaningful connection. Since 2014, we have curated hundreds of travel experiences across 30 countries for professionals seeking growth, meaning, and connection through shared experiences. With nearly 3,000 alumni across 80 countries, Unsettled is a pioneer in designing experiences around new ways of living and working in the 21st century. We offer retreats for remote workers to work remotely from destinations around the world and active adventures for professionals looking to break their routine.

As we grow, we are seeking a motivated, early-career Marketing Associate who is interested in joining our team and growing into a leadership role.

We are searching for someone to bring their experience and skills and apply them to our marketing strategy to acquire new customers, boost our brand awareness, and maintain our brand’s reputation in the market. Our executive team will support the role on ideation and execution across your responsibilities. There will also be agencies in freelancers supporting work in some of our channels.  Responsibilities:

The following are some of your responsibilities, where you’ll receive support and collaborate across our team:

• Execute our marketing strategy (and collaborate with others who execute on parts of it). You’ll cover our social media management and content, and play a support role in our email marketing and advertising to ensure freelancers and other support follow our brand guidelines and goals.
• Drive brand awareness through integrated marketing campaigns spanning digital marketing, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and more. 
• Collaborate and support our email marketing lead by communicating our priorities, contributing ideas, design, and/or reviewing campaigns before they go live.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, like sales, operations, and travel. Together, we’ll make sure our marketing efforts align with our business goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Dive into market research and our own data to uncover trends, customer needs, and our competitive landscape. Our data is not overly complex, but it can uncover great insights.
• Report to superiors and team members on key metrics, and spot opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Help us maintain consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across channels. We want customers to recognize our value instantly.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and ready to work full time to elevate Unsettled’s brand and drive growth.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• ~2+ years managing a small business’s brand in a relevant or consumer field, ideally with knowledge of higher-priced lifestyle products like ours.
• ~2+ years of experience in digital advertising and/or social media management (ideally some experience in both advertising and organic management). 
• Experience in growing an email marketing audience and converting it via email campaigns into sales and revenue is a bonus, though we outsource or have other team members who run our email marketing. 
• There’s no education requirements. We’re looking for someone who can point at their track record of work in marketing more than a degree or work experience at a name brand organization. 
• You’re collaborative and work well with others. We work closely across teams at Unsettled.
• You have experience in developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing (blog/SEO), and email marketing. You get the message out effectively across our channels.
• You’ve got the analytical skills to interpret data, using relevant marketing tools, and platforms, or ready to learn (e.g. google analytics, funnel tracking, etc.).
• Needless to say, you have excellent communication skills (in native English or very close to it) and know how to use them on today’s marketing channels to reach our audience that is multicultural and multi-generational.

Compensation, benefits, and location: 

• Salary ranges from $50,000 – $60,000 USD, with bonuses and incentives possible
• Health, dental, and vision insurance, or compensation for these depending on location 
• Travel perks and paid time off in your first year 
• Fully remote position, with about half of your hours expected to be synchronous with our team and other hours are asynchronous
