Behind the title
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Novo Nordisk, you will be working on the Heimdall platform – an Industry-Leading and Open Source platform, supporting multiple internal products with software engineering capabilities. You will be responsible for owning and driving the planning of platform capabilities, features, and roadmaps.

Additionally, your responsibilities include:

• Implementing software engineering platform capabilities through planning, architecture, designing, coding, and testing
• Co-creating software engineering capabilities in collaboration with stream-aligned engineering teams
• Collaborating with Site Reliability Engineers to achieve appropriate operational stability and reliability of the software engineering platform
• Providing level 3 response to software engineering platform events, problems, and incidents
• Driving and contributing to change management related to new technologies & practices for cloud native software engineering

Digital Foundation (DF) is part of the Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT) department - where we partner with the business to support digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain. Our vision is to accelerate software development by taking ownership in developing and delivering software development platforms, tools, processes, and advisory services.

Which competencies to bring?
To succeed in this role, we expect you tick most of the following:

• Around 10+ years of software development experience, with strong working expertise in Kubernetes, C#, .NET and GoLang
• Solid hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and/or AWS Cloud, especially around PaaS/SaaS service offering
• Proven working experience building large complex back-end systems, including integrations, large data-sizes, low latency/high performance, and distributed architectures
• Previous experience with contributing to Open Source Software would be beneficial
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines and GitHub Actions or similar tools, would also be beneficial
