Core Responsibilities
As Director, Global Construction Management you will play a meaningful role in procurement – leading a global team of sourcing experts, who are driving capital projects, developing and implementing a harmonized global procurement strategy that facilitates safe building design and construction while protecting contractors who construct our facilities/offices. To be more specific you will:

  • Drive the organisation to continuous improvement through ongoing analysis of lessons learned trending data and adjust strategy/execution accordingly
  • Drive a consistent, scalable and harmonized approach across the enterprise improve efficiency and effectiveness in diverse cultures and regions
  • High level of expertise in contract management and tendering processes
  • Work closely with Operations Team to co-develop future facility management, real-estate, and services roadmap
  • Develop long-term sourcing strategies aligned with market insight, customer requirements and value potential
  • Build and maintaining global supplier base - incl. contracting, negotiations, relationship building, risk management and supplier performance
  • Tap into supplier expertise for innovation and productivity improvements and develop deep relationships
  • Handle supply-base risk and build strong business continuity and resiliency to minimize disruption potential to our factories and office locations

Play your part in our team succeeding
Out of our office in either London or Billund you will join our Indirect Materials & Services Procurement Organization. We span across multiple areas of spends, covering all ELT areas and are responsible for procuring facilities, IT/Digital, professional services, travel, distribution, and logistics.

The Construction team is deeply engaged in formulating strategies for office and manufacturing locations globally and managing a large, sophisticated global spend area. The team also has a large opportunity to contribute to company’s sustainability ambition.

Do you have what it takes?
To be successful in this role we imagine that you bring:

  • Proven track record of managing global procurement teams
  • 5 to 10 years leadership experience in a senior procurement role
  • 10 years of global construction experience
  • 10 years experience in Procurement in a multi-national company
  • Proven record of building and driving strong business cases for sourcing transformation and business value
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English written and spoken
  • A high degree of flexibility as we are working across time zones and countries and travel of up to 30 - 50 days a year could be expected
