We are now looking for ambitious, razor-sharp, experienced strategy consultants to strengthen our Energy Transition team in Copenhagen.  

PA Consulting’s Energy Transition team is on an exciting growth journey. We are now looking for strategy consultants to join us to help tackle the toughest energy and climate problems. You will be a part of a world-class energy team that, together with a strong partner group, are working on some of the most complex challenges for both public and private clients. We work across the energy value chain to help our clients thrive in complex energy markets and establish next generation utilities and technology.

We are looking for colleagues based in Denmark who want to be a part of growing our Danish and Nordic presence within the energy market, and you will work closely with clients and colleagues across country borders. Therefore, we are looking for consultants who have a desire to work both nationally and internationally and who have strong collaborative skills.

Within this role, you will support or lead the delivery of strategic and complex consulting engagements, including managing teams and senior clients. You will also support and lead business development activities for new and existing clients. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of new approaches and methodologies within our Energy Transition team.

We offer end-to-end expertise to help our clients successfully navigate through the energy transition. Our capabilities range from strategy formulation and operational excellence to transactions advisory. We have international sub-sector teams focused on offshore wind, PtX, EVs, energy regulation, CCUS, sustainability and much more. We hope you aspire to become an expert in one of these fields as well. Globally, we are more than 350 dedicated energy specialists located in the Nordics, UK, US and the Netherlands.

We primarily focus on strategy and transactional work, with key services being: 

• Commercial and functional strategy
• Bid support for offshore wind
• Commercial due diligence
• Investment analysis and market assessments
• Analysis of technology deployment within various types of renewables.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are curious, ambitious and hungry to learn. As you should expect to be managing projects with responsibility for leading other consultants, we are searching for someone with a minimum of five years’ management consulting experience or similar experience. 

We think you will be a great fit if :  

• You have working experience as a management consultant from reputable firms 
• You have experience from the energy sector and/or a strong interest in the climate response agenda  
• You are methodical and analytically strong with the ability to understand and solve complex issues, and you have the skills to undertake complex quantitative and qualitative analyses  
• You are a proficient user of PowerPoint, Excel and other relevant economic and statistical tools 
• You are energetic, passionate, positive and goal-focused with a commitment to delivering excellence in all circumstances 
• You are a team player who understands that we achieve stronger results together than as individuals
• You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both Danish and English, in writing and speaking 
• You have a master’s degree with strong academic achievements.
