Senior Manager (Interim)
As our current deployment manager will be on maternity leave until 01.02.2024, we are looking for a talented leader to drive the execution of the area, preferably based in Denmark. About the department
The department, MES-Programme is anchored in DD&IT Product Supply and is focused on implementing PAS-X - a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), used across Novo Nordisk. We set the strategic direction and ensure that processes across production lines are automated and optimised.

The team is primarily located in Bagsværd (Greater Copenhagen area), Denmark and work hand-in-hand with our Product Supply colleagues, meaning that you will get to work closely with the users and technologies that drive our global manufacturing processes to the next level. The team itself is very diverse both in terms of capabilities and background, with roles spanning from project managers, product owners, SCRUM masters, architects to hands-on MES analysts.

The position
As a Deployment Manager, you will lead one of our 4 business areas, where you are responsible for all strategic and operational areas withing your business area. You will be part of the programme leadership team and lead an area with +30 project team members. You yourself, will not have any direct HR responsibility, but all members of the area will be reporting to you, in relation to execution and development of the area.

More specifically our next deployment lead, will among many areas and tasks be responsible for the following:

  • Overall responsible for delivery of PAS-X in your area
  • End to end area responsible, strategically as well as operationally
  • Stakeholder management and ensuring strong partnership with the production sites
  • Coordinate and keep track of programme roadmaps, and act on impediments and potential delays before they occur.
  • Budget responsible and establishing new project delivery teams in the area
  • Ensuring smooth business operations of the area including budgeting, onboarding new teams, and delivering projects within deadlines (through your teams)
  • Act on impediments and ensure teams in your area are set up for success

Qualifications
As a person you are friendly, ambitious, result driven, proactive and have an open and flexible attitude. You are known to get the job done and are open to adapt to changes around you. It is evident that you have a proven track record of delivering results and business value in your previous jobs.

To be successful in this role, we require the following:

  • Master’s or degree in Business, engineering, supply chain management or other relevant field
  • Leadership experience is a clear advantage
  • Strong project and programme management skills (including stakeholder management skills, presentation skills, governance skills and communication skills)
  • Interest in managing different tasks and activities that changes from day-to-day.
  • Pharma industry knowledge is a clear advantage
  • Experience with production/supply chain processes and/or GxP is also an advantage
  • Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing execution systems) a clear advantage, but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM, KANBAN and/or SAFe is an advantage.

Finally, as we are an area that is growing very fast, we expect that the successful candidate will continue within our programme in a similar role, after the end of the interim period.
