Job Description
Are you passionate about data and the use of data to tackle complex problems? Core Responsibilities

  • You will be exploring how to use technology to tackle manufacturing and supply chain problems in the simplest and most productive ways.
  • Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions prototypes for concept exploration.
  • Embrace new technologies and a constantly evolving environment.
  • Help set direction and culture in a brand new and highly strategic team with no legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other partners to identify the most meaningful ways to support their needs.
  • Contribute to improvements in data engineering practices, procedures, and ways of working.

Play your part in our team succeeding

The Spark360 team tackles challenging problems within our manufacturing and supply chain, understands the problems from a 360 point of view, and fuels solutions for those problems through prototypes and technical explorations. You will be a part of an innovation team, Spark360, where you will build concepts enabling other product teams to use those concepts to further advance their products. One example is The LEGO Groups’ journey around machine connectivity. The Spark360 team will look at the problem of complex operator tasks, which is common within the value chain, and build concepts for how machine connectivity can help solve that common problem.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas to peers.
  • Experience with backend or frontend development, but willing to do both.
  • Experience with cloud-based development, preferably Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • An understanding of DevOps and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience developing solutions that uses SQL databases.
  • Work independently and multi-functionally.
  • Are open to new initiatives and drive great team culture.
  • Enjoy playing with technology and aren’t afraid to try new things.

In addition, it would be an advantage if you know about:

  • Are driven by passion and curiosity.
  • Have worked with Node.js and React.
  • Enjoy working with Python scripts.
  • Enjoy bridging the gap between software and the physical world.
  • Have experience creating quick prototypes or demonstrators.
