The Position


 


As an Advanced Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our design verification test equipment delivers reliable, compliant, and high-quality data throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead qualification and validation activities for advanced automated test systems while collaborating with engineers, specialists, and external vendors to develop the next generation of test solutions.


 


Your main responsibilities will include:


 



  • Taking ownership of one or more core test equipment setups, ensuring their reliable operation and compliance while maintaining them in a validated state.

  • Lead the acquisition, qualification, and implementation of new automated test equipment.

  • Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for stakeholders, influencing decisions on advanced test equipment and verification strategies.

  • Manage equipment maintenance, calibration, and documentation to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

  • Authoring and reviewing equipment-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and validation documentation, ensuring clarity and adherence to best practices.

  • Coordinating test and measurement tasks on your equipment within complex projects.

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of methods for design verification testing (DVT) throughout our products’ lifecycle.


 


Qualifications


 


To succeed in this role, you should have:


 



  • A Master’s degree in a technical discipline or a Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in production environment.

  • Experience with equipment qualification, maintenance, validation, metrology, and design verification testing in a regulated environment.

  • Experience in authoring and reviewing qualification and validation documents in alignment with GMP standards.

  • Experience with robotics or automated laboratory/test equipment is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated capability in coordinating development projects and engaging with external vendors.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

About the department


 


You will join the Laboratory Equipment & Test Execution department in Drug Delivery Innovation (DDI), which plays a key role in the medical device and primary packaging development and lifecycle management processes. We deliver specialised exploratory testing and design verification from early concepts through launch, production changes and retirement of our products. We specify, develop, procure, validate, and operate advanced test equipment supporting medical device verification. Our department consists of around 40 passionate colleagues with diverse backgrounds, including laboratory technicians, engineers, and specialists. The department is anchored in the DDI organisation, known for developing the best, most innovative, and widely used injection devices in the world. We ensure that user insights and innovation go hand in hand with a strong quality mindset.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570.200.00 to 838.100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
