Overview

Leveraging Mastercard’s global payments network, our account-to-account business provides domestic and cross-border solutions to enable the frictionless future of payments. We help our customers leverage rich messaging functionality and applications to capture business and consumer payment flows both domestically and cross-border; offer solutions to connect, enable, and safeguard the Open Banking ecosystem, and protect banks and their customers from financial crime. All this is supported by account-based data insights and consulting to help our clients optimise their payment strategies across the world. The Open Banking team is looking to expand its product offering on a global basis.

The Analyst will be responsible for leading quality assurance, validation, and testing activities as part of MCOBS EU’s Anti-Financial Crime program team. Working under general supervision, this role will design testing procedures, test plans and assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of AML systems and controls. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of Anti-Financial Crimes Compliance systems and tools.
Role

• Define testing strategies and approaches, including manual and automated testing for the entity’s anti-financial crime and fraud systems, processes, and tools.
  • Lead testing and validation to determine appropriate rules, thresholds, and parameters for transaction and customer monitoring.
  • Support the tuning and optimization of AFC models, transaction monitoring systems, Customer Due Diligence scoring algorithms, and Sanctions screening tools
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements and enhancements.
  • Communicate issues identified during the tuning and testing processes to management staff as appropriate.
  • Support systems used for maintaining an effective Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Financial Crimes program.
  • Remain up to date with new testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices, including AI to enhance testing strategies.

All About You
• Three (3) to five (5) years of compliance experience preferably in AML with a focus on data analysis and regulatory compliance;
• Strong knowledge of AML transaction monitoring systems, sanctions screening systems, and fraud monitoring systems
• Exposure to IT testing processes, including test planning, test case preparation, execution, and defect management
• Basic understanding of System Architectures and data flow diagrams and documentation
• Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity
• Strong interpersonal skills, with both oral and written communication abilities, including drafting technical documents tailored to diverse audience Corporate Security Responsibility
