ASSET MANAGER

Do you want to help develop one of Denmark’s largest residential portfolios?

Do you have strong analytical skills, financial insight, and the ability to stay focused in a busy workday? Then this is a unique opportunity to kickstart or continue your career as an Asset Manager at Heimstaden Denmark in our Copenhagen office.

Heimstaden acquires, develops, sells, and manages properties across Europe. In Denmark, our portfolio consists of approximately 400 properties with more than 20,000 rental homes nationwide – including newly built, modern, and older properties.

About the position

As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the P&L (profit and loss) of your own portfolio of residential properties. You will ensure overall performance and drive operational and development activities together with the portfolio team, which includes colleagues from letting, Facility Management, Project Management, and Administration.

The role reports to the Regional Manager, and you will collaborate closely with colleagues from Investment and Financial Controlling to define and follow up on business plans and budgets. You’ll be expected to work independently and strategically, combining commercial thinking with hands-on execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring property performance against business plans and budgets (e.g. rental income, vacancy, OPEX, CAPEX).
  • Driving improvements through strategic initiatives such as CAPEX projects, leasing performance, and ESG efforts.
  • Contributing to business planning and conducting hold/sell analyses.
  • Supporting reporting and budgeting processes, including KPI analysis and presentation.

Your profile

We imagine you have a relevant academic background – for example in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, or real estate management. More important than your exact degree is your ability to combine analytical thinking with commercial insight and strategic execution.

To succeed in the role, you bring:

  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • A commercial mindset and strategic approach
  • Experience with project coordination and stakeholder management
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Experience from real estate or asset management is a plus, but not a requirement
  • You are fluent in Danish, both spoken and written, and can communicate effortlessly in English, both orally and in writing.
