Esbjerg Mejericenter is a part of Arla Foods and a leading international producer of Milk-Based Beverages (MBB). Esbjerg Mejericenter consists of two production sites in the Esbjerg area and produces, among others, Cocio, Starbucks, Mathilde and Karoline products. The dairies are currently executing a highly ambitious development plan involving significant expansion and investments.

How you will make an impact

In this role, you will join our Automation & Specialist team at Esbjerg Mejericenter, covering two production sites in Esbjerg. You will play a key role in ensuring stable operations while driving automation improvements and participating in larger development projects. The role combines hands-on technical work, optimization initiatives and project involvement, with a strong emphasis on ownership and collaboration.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Taking ownership of automation and optimization tasks across production processes


• Programming, maintaining and optimizing PLC/automation systems (primarily Siemens)


• Supporting daily operations through close collaboration with production and process colleagues


• Participating in and driving automation-related projects from idea to implementation


• Contributing to internal knowledge sharing and long-term capability building within the team

What will make you successful

We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience – from recently qualified profiles with strong potential to more experienced automation specialists. What matters most is your technical foundation, your mindset and your ability to work independently, drive projects while being a strong team player.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• A technical background as an automation technician, industrial electrician, automation engineer or similar


• Solid experience with automation and programming – ideally Siemens (TIA Portal / Step 7)


• A strong interest in process automation; experience from process industry is a clear advantage


• The ability to work independently, take ownership and drive tasks forward


• A curious, problem-solving mindset and motivation to continuously develop your skills
