Job Description

We seek a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in our organization, driving the development, maintenance, and expansion of our suite of products. 

You will:

• Work collaboratively with the Product Development Team to create value for our customers.
• Architect and develop new features while enhancing and refactoring existing ones.
• Embrace iterative methodologies, both in our development process and how your write your code. 
• Have strong backend skills and knowledge with a readiness to contribute to frontend tasks when required.
• You will undertake tasks such as developing JSON APIs for customers and apps, aggregating data, and establishing integrations with external services.
• Have a focus on ensuring quality and security standards.
• Have experience with ElasticSearch and Cloud technologies; AWS is highly desirable.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to fellow developers.
• Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of our online applications and systems.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to suggest and implement practical enhancements as needed.

Our API is written in PHP 8 and we run continuous integration via AWS. We break some parts of our product into smaller services; these are most often written in Python 3 or TypeScript
