Job Description - Business Developer - Copenhagen, Denmark

The Business Developer drives the company's growth and expansion within a specific area or region. You will collaborate with the highest level partners to enhance sales performance and contribute to the overall business growth.

Your primary responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities through lead generation, relationship building, and creating sales prospects, even from scratch. You will craft business plan proposals and presentations to foster partnerships, actively contributing to marketing strategies and ensuring alignment with Hästens' world-class standards. Initiate the establishment of stand-alone Hästens stores and strengthen existing partnerships. By analyzing Profit & Loss reports and store performance, you will formulate Business Action Plans to meet predefined targets and drive success.


Business Developer deliverables

  • We expect you as a seller to open ten stores within one year
  • We expect you as a seller to be able to grow the profit of 10 stores in your area and constantly generate more sales
  • We expect you as a salesperson to have at least five-morning meetings and five-afternoon meetings distributed between 10 stores to increase sales and profit continually.
  • We expect you to make two partner store visits a month.
  • Keep a clear agenda when meeting with potential partners with presentation materials, information, and promotion, e.g.
  • Development of the business of Hästens partners by closely following up on their Business Action Plan to improve traffic, revenue, and conversion rates.
  • Represent the Hästens blue-check values: awake, enlightened, empowered, committed, open, business-minded, accountable, serving, respectful, and loving.

Key responsibilities:

Ensure sales and growth by identifying new partnersthrough prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Actively research and identify potential clients or customers.
  • Use various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking events to generate leads.

Power of Action:

  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across Hästens and partners.
  • Invite potential partners to Hästens' head office and Dream factory to have the Köping experience.
  • Analyze data to identify new market opportunities and potential areas for business growth.

Strategic Planning:

  • Meet regularly with partner management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the partner store by building a Business Action Plan.

Represent the Hästens brand:

  • Make sure the partner understands the concept of mastery and premium quality.
  • Make sure that the stores act with the customers in mind and provide them with world-class service, following guidelines and store design.
  • Communicate new products, service opportunities, extraordinary developments, and deal structure and pricing with business value analysis.

Experience & requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.

Work Experience:

  • Years of proven work experience in sales is considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in both B2C and B2B sales with solid negotiation skills.

High Growth Adaptability:

  • Capacity to stay two steps ahead in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment
  • Commitment to meeting and exceeding challenging sales goals.

Technical Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience with ERP and CRM systems, with a preference for proficiency in Salesforce.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.

Analytical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. 

  • Proven ability to plan strategically to achieve sales objectives.

Presentation Skills:

  • Excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas and propositions.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel extensively ( approximately 70-80%) throughout the assigned territory. 

  • Monthly visits to Köping, Sweden, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Driver's license.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in English and native proficiency in the relevant language.
