Category & Insights Manager

Then you might be our next Category & Insights Manager.

In this individual contributor role, you will be the company’s expert in category development and market insights.

You will play a key role in driving the Trade Marketing agenda by transforming market, category, and shopper insights into concrete recommendations, customer cases and growth opportunities.

You will help the organization understand market dynamics, shopper behavior, and category performance, enabling smarter, fact-based decisions and identifying new growth opportunities across customers and channels.

At the same time, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the category’s most iconic brands – Stimorol, V6, Mentos, Frisk, and Chupa Chups – and turn insights into initiatives that drive growth for both our customers and Perfetti van Melle.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze category and market developments as well as competitor activities using Nielsen data and shopper insights.


• Develop category reviews and identify growth opportunities across customers, channels, and categories.


• Drive space management, track category performance, and recommend planogram and assortment optimizations to drive visibility and growth.


• Identify distribution opportunities and develop Must Sell Lists.


• Support the Key Account Management team with analyses, business cases, and commercial recommendations.


• Lead customer projects in close collaboration with Sales and Head of Trade Marketing


• Participate actively in customer meetings and in internal Sales Meetings as the category and insights expert.


• Prepare customer presentations and present category and market insights.


• Develop dashboards and track KPIs, sales performance, and distribution.

We Imagine That You

• Have 3-7 years experience within Category Management, Trade Marketing, Insights, or Commercial Analysis.


• Have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy working in a data-driven environment.


• Have experience with Nielsen data, market analysis, or similar data sources.


• Possess a solid understanding of market dynamics, shopper behavior, and category development.


• Can translate complex data into clear recommendations and compelling presentations.


• Thrive in collaborating with both customers and internal stakeholders.
