Job Description - Category Manager

Are you commercially driven and analytically strong? Are you passionate about category performance? We’re looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our growing category team. Sound like you?

Our ambitious growth plans involve intensifying our focus on winning assortments, categories, and pricing, and building our distribution channels beyond our own platform. The category team will lead this journey, and as our new Category Manager, you will be responsible for the performance and development of all our categories. We’re looking for an ambitious soul who thrives as a key stakeholder in annual planning, who’s a pioneer in developing good-better-best principles in our categories, and who makes sure we are competitive across all our markets. This is a great opportunity to impact our business across our existing markets and categories and find new, high-potential growth opportunities.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Day-to-day commercial responsibility for category sales of our 25+ categories across over 25 markets.
  • Ensure competitive assortment and pricing in all categories and markets, as well as relevant product communication that appeals to shoppers.
  • Take corrective actions in the face of challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop good-better-best principles about categories and ensure collaboration with our Shopper Experience team.
  • Co-create competitive launch packages for new products and categories with our Innovation Manager to ensure local success (sizing and pricing).
  • Track and monitor sales and report deviations on targets.
  • Identify category-specific needs and opportunities in existing categories, quantify potential, and ensure we capture potential with new or existing products.

Who You Are

  • Fluent in Danish and English.
  • Relevant education at Bachelor's or Master’s level.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in category management. Preferably from a consumer-driven/DtC/FMCG company.
  • Experience in market analysis and proven ability to convert market, category, and customer insights into commercial value via product innovation and category growth initiatives.
  • Ability to build attractive assortments for customers with the right product features and pricing ladders (good-better-best) that drive sales.
  • You have a passion for winning, are naturally data-driven, and live to drive better results in your business area.
  • You take responsibility for your own business area and find solutions alongside the rest of the Trendhim team to release the potential of your plans.
