Job Title: Electrical Construction Manager

Location: Project-based / Site-specific

Key Responsibilities of the Role at Centum Engineering:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations on-site, overseeing all electrical construction activities including planning, coordination, and reporting.


• Ensure the full electrical scope is delivered on time, to specification, and in line with project deadlines.


• Manage the interface between design consultants and building contractors, overseeing the design coordination process.


• Apply technical expertise to resolve logistical and engineering challenges during project delivery.


• Monitor and control all project-related costs, including labour, materials, equipment, variations, and interim valuations.


• Oversee Electrical Engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and high-quality work execution.


• Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards as set by Centum and industry regulations.


• Maintain a focus on project profitability through effective planning and cost control.


• Support and lead electrical commissioning phases as projects near completion.


• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful handover and client satisfaction.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• Strong working knowledge of the full electrical design and build process.


• Demonstrated ability to manage site teams, schedules, and programme milestones.


• A trade qualification or a relevant third-level degree in electrical engineering or construction management.


• Proven track record in managing complex or large-scale electrical projects from concept to completion.


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Construction Manager or similar role.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environments.


• A construction background with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and services.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, and Construction Document Exchange (CDE) platforms.


• Committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective project outcomes.
