H2 Energy Europe is a developer of large-scale green hydrogen ecosystems. Our projects cover different parts of the green hydrogen value chain from production, to distribution and consumption. Major green hydrogen production projects include a 1GW plant in Esbjerg, Denmark converting offshore wind power, and a 20MW plant in Milford Haven, South Wales. H2 Energy Europe is also rolling out a hydrogen filling station network with sites along major transport routes across Germany, Austria, and Denmark.

H2 Energy Europe is a joint venture between Trafigura and H2 Energy, established in 2021 to build green hydrogen ecosystems in Europe.

Growing fast, we are now looking for a Construction Manager (with 7-10 years of experience) to join our team in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Your field of responsibility

• Lead the development of the construction execution strategy and plans
• Ensure that construction management is integrated into the planning, scheduling, cost tracking, construction, installation, testing and acceptance activities for project
• Lead the development of contract scopes of works and contractor evaluation
• Manage Construction, ensure Contractors compliance with safety, quality, schedules and budgets, cost-effectiveness and control, and results
• Responsible for safety on construction sites
• Develop, review, and evaluate contracts and agreements affecting the project execution
• Provide constructability feedback on electrical, mechanical, protection, and civil construction standards.
• Responsible for construction contractors performance, manages construction budget.
• Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.
• Determine contract resource requirements, and service specifications and manage contractor performance

Your skills and experience

• Relevant academic degree (Construction or Engineering or related discipline)
• 7-10 years of previous experience in construction management and construction work of complex process plant projects
• Working knowledge across a broad range, civil, structural, mechanical and E&I works
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a structured and results-driven way of working
• Motivation for building knowledge in the PtX domain
• Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborating with various stakeholders in a team environment
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to quickly gain trust and build solid working relationships
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate cross-culturally. Other languages would be a plus but are not essential.
• Experience with Danish Construction industry
