Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Country HEMAR (Health Economics & Market Access) Manager for a 12‑month temporary role (maternity cover) within our Danish Market Access & Public Affairs team.

About the Role

Market Access at Johnson & Johnson constitutes a critical interface between scientific innovation, healthcare system dynamics, and patient outcomes. In this position, you will be responsible for contributing to evidence‑informed strategies that enable timely and equitable access to innovative therapies within the Danish healthcare context. The role requires the ability to synthesize clinical, economic, and policy‑related evidence into coherent payer value arguments that address the needs of a diverse set of stakeholders.

As Danish HEMAR Manager, you will be centrally involved in the design and operationalization of market access strategies across the product lifecycle. This includes the development of payer value propositions, the preparation of reimbursement submissions, and the coordination of cross‑functional analytical efforts to support pricing and access decisions. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Public Affairs, ensuring a holistic and scientifically robust approach to market access activities.

This 12‑month position offers a unique opportunity to step into the heart of HEMAR at one of the world’s most respected healthcare companies, working with a flourishing and evolving product portfolio. You will gain broad exposure to cross‑functional access work, partner with experienced specialists, and contribute directly to decisions that truly matter. And although the role is temporary, joining J&J means becoming part of a global organization where talent is recognized and supported - strong performers frequently continue their journey with new opportunities as our teams and business needs evolve.

Key Responsibilites

  • Serve as an analytically driven and collaborative contributor within one or more therapeutic area cross‑functional teams

  • Develop and adapt Danish market access plans informed by regional strategies, national payer requirements, and evolving health policy trends

  • Support pricing, reimbursement, tender, and contracting processes through rigorous evidence generation and structured business case development

  • Translate clinical and economic evidence into clear, persuasive payer value messages tailored to decision‑makers

  • Prepare reimbursement dossiers, negotiation materials, and supporting documentation based on sound methodological principles

  • Conduct structured stakeholder mapping to identify access opportunities and inform engagement strategies

  • Assess and articulate access priorities in relation to product lifecycle dynamics, competitive landscape, and external policy developments

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and best‑practice sharing across therapeutic areas and Nordic/European colleagues

  • Work with account teams to operationalize access initiatives at the customer level

  • Engage stakeholders to promote understanding of system‑level access challenges and co‑develop constructive, evidence‑based solutions

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, health economics, public health, pharmacy, economics, or similar)

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Market Access, ideally gained within the pharmaceutical industry, consulting, or HTA agencies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • High proficiency in Danish and in spoken and written English

Essential Competencies

  • Capacity to think creatively and beyond conventional frameworks to identify novel access pathways and strategic solutions within a dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Strong networking and collaboration skills in both internal and external stakeholder environments

  • Demonstrated analytical capacity and the ability to integrate clinical, economic, and policy evidence

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex evidence in a clear and structured manner

  • Ability to establish trust‑based relationships and engage constructively with diverse stakeholder groups

  • A proactive, self‑directed working style with strong motivation to achieve results
