Job Description - DevOps Engineer - Pensions Solutions

Do you thrive on automation and love making life easier for hundreds of developers?

As a DevOps Engineer at Keylane, you’ll help us boost our delivery pipelines for a large-scale Java ecosystem with 200+ developers. Your mission is to streamline and evolve our automated test, build, and deployment pipelines, making them faster, more reliable, and developer-friendly. You’ll be at the heart of our CI/CD evolution, ensuring engineers can push code to production with confidence and speed.

Key about the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the core of our software delivery process, ensuring that our development teams can build, test, and deploy code with speed, reliability, and confidence. You will design, maintain, and evolve our CI/CD pipelines to meet the needs of a fast-paced engineering organization.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the systems and processes that empower our developers to deliver high-quality software efficiently. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, implement automation, and continuously refine the way we build and deploy our solutions.

This position is central to enabling our developers to innovate quickly while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that support automated testing, builds, and deployments. You’ll work closely with development teams to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient release processes, while continuously improving performance and reliability.

Your main focus will include:

  • Owning and improving the pipelines that drive automated testing, builds, and deployments.
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure a smooth and efficient release process.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing pipeline performance.
  • Identifying opportunities to accelerate delivery cycles and enhance automation in testing, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment.
  • Ensuring that all build and deployment processes are scalable, secure, and resilient.
  • Promoting DevOps best practices and a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Success Criteria

  • Reliable CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, automated builds, tests, and deployments.
  • High developer satisfaction through reduced bottlenecks, clear documentation, and smooth collaboration.
  • Continuous improvement demonstrated by shorter delivery cycles, higher deployment frequency, and fewer failures.
  • A culture of automation and learning where DevOps best practices are adopted and innovation in tools and processes drives measurable value.

In short, your success will be measured by how efficiently our teams can deliver – with confidence, speed, and quality.

Key about you

We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with a strong foundation in automation and continuous delivery. You should have proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, and bring a deep understanding of modern CI/CD principles.

  • Key skills include:
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of Java-based application environments and build tools (Gradle).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, or similar).
  • A mindset for automation, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a large, fast-moving development organization.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

If you’re driven by optimization, thrive in a collaborative environment, and enjoy building reliable systems that make developers’ lives easier, then this role offers you the opportunity to make a real impact at scale.
