Overview
Leveraging Mastercard’s global payments network, our account-to-account business provides domestic and cross-border solutions to enable the frictionless future of payments. We help our customers leverage rich messaging functionality and applications to capture business and consumer payment flows both domestically and cross-border; offer solutions to connect, enable, and safeguard the Open Banking ecosystem, and protect banks and their customers from financial crime. All of this is supported by account-based data insights and consulting to help our clients optimise their payment strategies across the world. The Open Banking team is looking to expand its product offerings on a global basis.

The Director, Europe Open Banking, Enterprise Risk Management, will be responsible for establishing the Enterprise Risk Management program and strategy for MCOBS EU. This includes, but is not limited to, leading risk identification, measurement, reporting activities, and ensuring the effective communication of key risk information to MCOBS EU Senior Management and the Board. The role will ensure that MCOBS EU adheres to Group Company Enterprise Risk Management requirements.

All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and therefore, it is expected that the successful candidate for this position must:
• Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices
• Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
• Report any suspected information security violation or breach
• Complete all periodic mandatory security training in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines Corporate Security Responsibility
All About You
• Extensive experience in Enterprise Risk Management or a related field within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Significant knowledge of Risk Management principles, practices, and methodologies, including risk assessment techniques, risk modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Strong understanding of Open Banking and regulatory requirements related to risk management, including PSD2, stress testing, and risk governance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and develop pragmatic solutions to mitigate them.
• Experience with identifying metrics for reporting, monitoring, and preparing executive level status reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience of Open Banking products would be beneficial.
• Preferred location is London
