Job Description - Equipment Enablement Manager

The opportunity:

Over the past year, the Equipment Enablement Team has played a key role in developing equipment transformation tech and process plan alongside the platform, tech, and regional organisation. We've focused on improving equipment management through technology and standardized processes, laying the groundwork for our plans in 2024.To sustain progress, we need to focus more on outlining long-term plans that align with our 2030 integrator strategy, and this is where you come in.

In this role you will be responsible for conceptualisation, testing, and alignment of multi-year plans with leadership focussed on an integrated digital environment, building upon the developments planned in 2024. You will be accountable for strategic cross-functional initiatives aimed at driving CAPEX savings. You will provide support and validation for underlying logic and policy creation when deploying new tools, process, or capabilities, and are responsible for ensuring that any new development meets business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create strong fact and data-based proposals in form of memos or a relevant tool that can support transformation of equipment management via tech-based processes and tool development in coming years.
  • Collaborate with platform/tech/community to manage live initiatives, ensuring data-driven and controlled equipment supply planning mechanisms are developed, tested, and implemented timely.
  • Where you own specific initiatives, drive ideation to implementation with project management approach.
  • Go beyond equipment and think from an integrator viewpoint. Establish and maintain connects with relevant tech and business teams that can support ideation and sponsor the change.
  • Some specific examples of Initiatives you would be involved in
    • Defining capabilities to build beyond 2024 including inland optimisation, equipment products optimisation, amongst others.
    • Reducing the deviation in ocean equipment evacuation execution vs plan.
    • Standardizing short term and long term forecast for equipment planning.

We're looking for :

  • Self-starter who isn’t shy in asking questions, and at the same time listen to feedback.
  • Strong Shipping / Supply Chain Management / Logistics/ container flow domain experience is preferred but willingness to learn is key.
  • Proficient in English with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in project-based environments, showcasing structured planning, execution, and communication.
  • A strong affinity for collaboration with challenging stakeholders, and adeptness at leading without explicit authority.
  • Ability to counter ambiguity without waiting for complete clarity, and strong interpersonal skills to create followship with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong data analytical skills to extract insights and generate recommendations.
  • Strategic thinking is essential.
