Mint Copenhagen is looking for a hands\-on Finance & Accounting Controller to take ownership of day\-to\-day accounting and financial control across Mint Agency and Mint Studios. The role is central to the business and combines classic accounting tasks with a strong, business\-oriented perspective.
The position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in an end\-to\-end role and enjoys working close to both projects and decision\-makers in a fast\-growing, creative environment.
As Finance & Accounting Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that Mintâs finances are accurate, up to date, and transparent. The role covers the full finance cycle, from bookkeeping and invoicing to reporting, cash flow overview, and high\-level insights into project margins.
The position works closely with Production, Project Management, Sales, and Leadership, providing clear financial snapshots that support day\-to\-day operations and informed decision\-making. The role replaces an external, part\-time finance solution and allows for a proper handover during the transition.
Own day\-to\-day accounting across Mint Agency and Mint Studios
Handle AR and project\-based invoicing, payment follow\-up, and collections
Manage AP, vendor bills, approvals, bank reconciliations, and expenses
Ensure correct handling of Danish VAT and related compliance matters
Run month\-end close, including accruals and reconciliations
Deliver concise P&L, cash flow, and management overviews
Maintain a rolling cash flow overview and flag risks early
Track project budgets versus actuals at a high level
Support annual accounts and collaborate with auditors
Improve financial workflows, master data, and reporting structures
Mint is looking for a finance professional who combines attention to detail with the ability to communicate clear insights to non\-finance stakeholders.
It is expected that you have:
At least 3 years of experience within accounting or finance
Strong, hands\-on experience with Visma e\-conomic
Solid understanding of Danish VAT and bookkeeping practices
Experience working in project\-driven environments
Ability to switch between detailed work and high\-level summaries
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and Google Workspace
Fluency in Danish and English
Experience from an agency, studio, media company, or other small to medium sized project\-based businesses is considered an advantage in this role.
