THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a dynamic and professional candidate to join our Lynge, Denmark based team as Head of IT & Digital. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of IT & Digital is responsible for the strategic, operational, and managerial oversight of the organization’s global IT function across three primary locations. The role combines people management, IT governance, and hands-on responsibility for infrastructure, platforms, hardware, and cloud-based services. Acting as the organization’s primary IT authority, the Head of IT & Digital will play a critical role in enabling the company’s growth by ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient technology environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Management & Governance
Lead and manage the global IT function, providing direction, structure, and support to IT staff.
Serve as the primary interface between IT and the broader organization, translating global business needs into actionable IT initiatives, projects, and workflows.
Own the full IT budget, including operating and capital expenditures.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective sourcing of hardware, software, and cloud services.
Deploy and administer the IT ticket system, including evaluation, prioritization, approval, rejection, and assignment of tickets.
Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures, policies, and configurations.
Support best practices in Microsoft Cloud services, cybersecurity, networking, updates, and device management.
Promote IT literacy by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and training employees on tools and best practices.
IT Architecture & Platform Ownership
Maintain a holistic view of the company’s IT architecture, systems, integrations, and data flows.
Drive the ongoing evolution and optimization of the IT landscape, ensuring scalability and lifecycle management.
Safeguard high standards of IT security, compliance, performance, and availability.
Proactively identify risks, technical debt, and improvement opportunities within the IT environment.
Monitor network performance, identify issues and deploy solutions to resolve issues and ensure business continuity.
Hardware, Software & Cloud Management
Manage the global hardware portfolio and lifecycle (procurement, setup, support, inventory).
Configure and install workstations, printers, scanners, software and other components and peripherals.
Provide professional support for software, hardware, and operational IT needs.
Lead the administration of Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based platforms.
Ensure proper access management, licensing, and usage governance.
Support the organization in adopting and leveraging cloud services that enable business efficiency and scalability.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, System Administration, Microsoft M365, Cloud services certification or other relevant certification.
1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
Experience leading a high performing and motivated team across multiple continents.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience providing helpdesk services and supporting IT operations with Microsoft environment, Cloud Services in a multi-site environment.
English mandatory, both spoken and written. Danish or French an asset.
Experience with MS Business Central, an asset.
