Infrastructure Architect for Hybrid On-Prem and Azure Cloud Environments

With the acquisition of Codan, Alm. Brand Group has a great need for good architectural decision making on how to use infrastructure technologies best and most intelligently in the organization.


Especially in the Hybrid Infrastructure Domain, where we work with networking, compute, storage, identity, and automation, to ensure that Alm. Brand Group’s current and future digital platforms are secure, scalable, and resilient.

Top Management support, platforms, and resources are in place. Now we are looking for a skilled Architect to complement the team of Enterprise and Solution Architects in the Architecture Department.

The role

You will be part of our Architects team consisting of 10 competent colleagues, where most work is carried out in close cooperation with the agile teams changing our IT. Your primary objectives will be to:

• Deliver robust infrastructure architecture that ensures optimal performance, scalability, and security across on-prem and Azure cloud environments


• Collaborate with business and agile teams on infrastructure scoping and estimations


• Provide technical leadership in agile teams and ensure alignment with infrastructure architectural decisions


• Write, present and drive infrastructure architectural decisions and solution designs through our architecture Design Authority


• Deliver great solution architecture that gives us the best possible value from the platforms and ensures excellent overall architectural implementations.

About you as a person

We expect you to be:

• Independent and analytical in your ways of working

• Have a welcoming demeanor with an enthusiastic and positive approach to the tasks at hand

• Able to dive deep and think holistic

• Fluent in English and a solid understanding of Danish

• Able to communicate well on all levels - from highly technical Engineers to upper management.

You know your domain

Furthermore you have:

• A relevant background with +5 years of experience with infrastructure


• Expertise in Azure cloud services


• Proven track record working as a Solution Architect


• Strong understanding of hybrid environments and integration between on-prem and cloud


• Deep knowledge of infrastructure security models and compliance best practices


• Good understanding of automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform)


• Familiarity with networking concepts (firewalls, VPN, segmentation)


• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as NIS2 and DORA


• Experience with disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
