We are looking for a new laboratory technician colleague for a maternity cover in a full-time position (37 hours per week) for our Plant Biosolutions Applied Research & Development department located in Hørsholm.

Welcome to Plant Biosolutions Applied R&D, where we strive to develop formulations, test application both in vitro and in vivo, and deliver high quality microbiological and enzymatic biological solutions, including Bacillus based products, to the agricultural market.  

 
We are a cross-functional department split between US and DK, consisting of 12 individuals.  

We are looking for a laboratory technician to join our Danish site, where we are currently 3 scientists and 1 laboratory technician. We are a small but tight knit international team working closely together, and our day-to-day communication reflects this by primarily being in English to ensure an inclusive environment.  

While the team is small, we collaborate closely with different departments including Applied Research, Animal & Plant, Core R&D, Pilot and Production - both locally in Denmark and globally across Novonesis sites. 

Our team focuses on product development, product application, data handling, digitalization and automatization.      

 In this role you’ll make an impact by: 

• Driving the technical part of the team. Our scientists are highly involved and comfortable in the laboratories and work within them, but you will be the main person responsible for driving the lab.  

• This includes formulation mixing, sample characterization, microbiological work (including CFU and flow cytometry), preparation of pathogen inoculation, and general laboratory overview including being responsible for our chemical inventory. 

• You will drive communication and coordinate with technical staff from sister departments, as well as be involved in other cross-department collaborations.  

• You will be the main technical staff on multiple projects running in parallel, each project will be in collaboration with the different scientists. 

 To succeed you must hold: 

• A degree as a laboratory technician, newly graduated also welcome. 

• As we are an international team, and collaborate globally, you must be fluent in both written and spoken English and comfortable in Danish.  

• Be a team player by contributing to a good working environment and be prepared to collaborate in a constructive manner.   

• Be structured to maintain overview of laboratory and technical work for multiple projects at a time. 

• Be proactive and motivated in your work.  

• Preferably, you would be familiar with bacterial enumeration work due to the nature of our samples.
