Lead Civil Engineer

As a Lead Civil Engineer you will be responsible for coordinating with thesecondary, primary,civiland commissioning team. You will not be conducting drawings yourself, but will be supervising the full concept of engineering a substation. To succeed in this position, you need to have experience of structural/civil engineering design and/or tendering work. Furthermore, it will be beneficial if youhave supervision experience, good teamwork, and communication skills. This position is based in the office in Middelfart.In this exciting role your responsibilities will consist of:

• Being the specialist in civil relatedtopics during the tender phase
• Preparing quotation materials to civil subcontractors and preparing quotation materials to civil design companies
• Reviewing the relevant section of the contract agreements and the permit requirements
• Recognizingcost-saving opportunities.
• Performing quantitysurveying or reviewing external quantity surveys
• Other construction-related duties in cooperation with specialists from other fields of expertise
• Around 10%of your time will be supporting the tender processes in terms of the technical expertise within civil engineering topics. The remaining time will be spent working with the project execution team, overseeing civil engineering work, and managing subcontractors. You will work with colleagues who will lead the electrical aspects of these projects.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in construction/civil engineering
• Experience in supervision, engineering/design or tendering work. Ideally from theproject business.
• Geotechnical and soil engineering experience
• A solid knowledge of construction materials and methods
• The ability to take initiative and to work under pressure
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Danish
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with various project teams and internal/external partners
• Knowledge of 3D design tools and building information modelling (BIM)
