At Kruså dairy we produce, with a team of 210 employees, 35,000 tons of White cheese annually - products enjoyed by people around the world.

How you will make an impact

As part of the site leadership team and reporting directly to the Site Director, you will take overall responsibility for leading a department of 25 highly skilled specialists, including team and project leaders, IT professionals, and engineers. Through your leadership, you will set a clear direction for the organisation, ensuring both the reliability and continuous development of our advanced production systems. You will cultivate a strong culture of safety, wellbeing, and inclusion, while inspiring high performance and operational excellence across all maintenance and engineering activities. By empowering your teams, driving collaboration, and fostering a forward‑thinking mindset, you will play a central role in securing stable operations today and shaping the long‑term success of the site.

Furthermore your task will be:

• Lead CAPEX projects and drive long‑term, strategic maintenance planning in close collaboration with cross‑functional colleagues.


• Manage budgets and secure cost‑effective execution of both projects and maintenance activities.


• Leverage your strong technical foundation within maintenance, engineering, automation, and digitalisation to ensure high-quality decision‑making.


• Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools and reliability‑centered maintenance principles to optimise performance and minimise downtime.


• Translate strategic ambitions into operational excellence, contributing significantly to the site’s future direction and alignment with Arla’s global Supply Chain strategy.


• Responsible for building and maintenance projects within the department, led by a dedicated project lead who reports directly to you, including key sustainability initiatives such as reducing CO₂ emissions through Heat Pump and Waste Water Management projects.

What will make you successful

You hold a degree in Operations, Maintenance Engineering, Technology Management, Marine Engineering, or a related field, and you bring solid leadership experience from complex production environments. Throughout your career, you have successfully led teams and complex projects, and you are recognised for your ability to inspire, communicate clearly, work in a structured way, and consistently deliver strong results.

Safety sits at the core of your leadership philosophy, and you prioritise creating a secure and healthy work environment where people can perform and grow. You are a strong advocate for Lean principles and continuous improvement, always seeking smarter, innovative, and more sustainable ways of working. Your experience with WH Management and controlling spare‑parts costing gives you a strong operational foundation, while your ability to navigate complexity and drive new ways of working positions you as a key contributor in a highly technical setting.

You build trust‑based relationships across all levels of the organisation and are committed to people development, diversity, and inclusion - coaching and motivating your employees to ensure they have the right skills and confidence to succeed.
