Job Description - Manager (Delivery Management) in IT Solutions - Aarhus

About the job

You will join the IT supply chain organization, responsible for leading, managing and developing a portfolio management function with a team of experienced and talented project managers, as well as supporting our cross-function related processes, projects and improvements and ways of working for our team.

The managers will cover and split the following areas of responsibilities:

  • People management responsibility from A-Z of primarily internal project managers but also managing external consultants.
  • Lead cooperation and communication between IT and business functions.
  • Optimize portfolio management with overview of all running projects and projects in pipeline.
  • Defining best practices and must-do’s for project managers. Improving templates and processes in collaboration with project managers.
  • Monitor portfolio profitability and provide fact-based recommendations for project prioritization.
  • Responsible for cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management (internal and external), participation in SteerCos and driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Ownership of forecast and actuals process, incl. development of better overview of project financials in PowerBI or similar.
  • Who are you?

    As we are looking for two different profiles, we imagine that you could see yourself ticking off several – but not necessarily all – of the following boxes.

  • A relevant degree and 3+ years of experience in project management within IT and/or supply chain.
  • People management experience or the desire to take on your first people management role.
  • Business mindset including excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-centric mindset. If you have experience within financials (forecast, actuals, reporting and PowerBI), this is also an advantage
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations would be seen as an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Experience with the agile framework and ways of working (Arla IT uses the SAFe framework)
  • This role requires excellent senior stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and process ownership skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in portfolio development and management, exceptional communication and presentation abilities, and the capacity to interact seamlessly across various functions and organizational levels. In addition, the candidate should be proactive, possess good interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a keenness to enhance and implement new processes and tools.
