Managing Consultant - Financial Services

PA Consulting has always been a leading advisor in the financial sector and in Denmark. We serve many large financial institutions and regulators with a strong focus on digitalization and related transformations. Our strong team in Denmark is growing and we are hiring Managing Consultants to continue building our strong presence in the sector. 

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in financial services consulting, with a focus on commercial/growth strategy, digital strategy and business transformation. The perfect candidates will be able to take lead on both account leadership and development of innovative propositions and develop the team in the key capability areas.

Within PA the Managing Consultant (MC) role represents a top tier appointment in the organization, with MCs typically serving as our business development and team leaders. With one foot in the operation, one foot in the strategic and a head for business and proposition development, this role is highly varied and calls for someone who is autonomous and a self-starter. MCs are part of the leadership team and an integrated part of the sales effort. 

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients in the financial services sector to identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive implementation
• Provide strategic advice and insights to senior executives on a range of issues including digital transformation, operational efficiency, and risk management
• Lead project teams in delivering high-quality solutions that meet client objectives and drive measurable business impact
• Lead strategic accounts as chair person
• Lead FS Sales initiatives (MC level) across the firm, particularly driving the agenda in areas such as: commercial/growth strategy, digital strategy and business transformation
• Collaborate with colleagues across PA Consulting's global network to leverage best practices and expertise

Our team is based in Copenhagen, and you will work predominately on client site. Travel outside of these locations may be required, but we are committed to working with any qualified candidate to understand what flexible working patterns can be adapted.

Financial Services experience including any of the following:

• Bachelor’s required, Master’s (preferred) degree in economics, engineering, IT, or a related field
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in management consulting, with a focus on the financial services industry
• Alternatively, you have a combined advisory career with an internal managerial role at a large client/corporate finance company
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects in areas such as strategy development, process improvement, and technology implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Documented sales experience
• Fluency in Danish and English; additional language skills are a plus
