The position is located at our production site in Falun, and you will be part of both the local and global supply chain organization.

Secure on-time delivery of all day-to-day procurement activities and materials
As our new Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for executing purchases in line with the relevant category strategy, securing order fulfilment and supplier management. Your experience in purchasing, logistics, and supply chain management ensures a high-level service which allows our production to run 24/7. You will report directly to the Supply Chain manager for the site in Falun. You will work closely together with production planning and work centre managers and coordinators in production in securing materials for production. You will also work directly with process engineering and material technology in evaluating new suppliers and materials for production.

Some of your working tasks

• Generate purchase orders based on demand from customers and planned production.
• Monitoring delivery to ensure material availability.
• Handling quality issues and vendor claims.
• Support process engineering, and material technology in evaluating new suppliers and materials for production
• Collaborate with Group Procurement, suppliers, freight forwarders, planners, warehouse colleagues, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure quality, costs, and delivery plans.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and activities to ensure that the procurement process is delivered with the most effective and efficient.

Disciplined and process-oriented Connector
Your main tool will be SAP for direct, and Ariba Market Place for indirect purchasing. Hence you work in a structured and meticulous manner and you find it easy to see situations from a helicopter perspective.

To fit into the role, you are social and outgoing and enjoy working closely together with your team and stakeholders. To succeed in our organization you need to be creative in combination with a well-developed ability to assess and prioritize based on given information and conditions. Your respectful communication skills come into play on all different levels. Maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with suppliers is of utmost importance for flexibility and cooperation.

We believe that you have:

• Relevant education in purchasing or logistics at a Bachelor’s level
• Or min. 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management
• Having experience with SAP is considered an asset for this position
• Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• A focused way of work and a learning mindset
• Fluently in Swedish and English, and a technical interest.
