Optix Developer 6 Months Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled MES Integration Engineer to support the development and integration of shopfloor solutions into our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform. The role will focus on the maturation and scaling of Pick2Light systems, data acquisition from sensors, and the development of a Quality Gate solution for testers, alongside contributing to the architecture blueprint of the platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Rockwell Optix development and strong proficiency in C# .NET development within the Visual Studio environment. This role requires both hands-on technical capability and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Pick2Light solutions integrated into the MES platform.
• Lead the data acquisition project from pilot implementation to full-scale deployment using industrial sensors.
• Develop and implement a Quality Gate solution to capture and analyze tester results.
• Contribute to the architecture blueprint of the MES platform and ensure alignment with enterprise and OT/IT standards.
• Integrate shopfloor devices and automation systems with MES using Rockwell Optix and custom .NET components.
• Interface with PLCs, sensors, and production equipment for real-time data acquisition and event triggering.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure robustness and scalability.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored MES solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure version control and deployment traceability.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Certified or formally trained in Rockwell Optix platform.
• Minimum 1+ year experience in developing applications using Rockwell Optix.
• 3+ years of experience in C# .NET development using Visual Studio.
• Strong understanding of MES architecture, shopfloor automation, and OT/IT integration.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, signal processing, and real-time data streaming.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to performance and reliability.
• Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with SCADA, PLC programming, or other automation software.
• Exposure to SQL databases and data logging for MES solutions.
• Knowledge of production workflows and quality processes in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., automotive, electronics, aerospace, or pharmaceutical).
