Geographically, FirstFarms s.r.o. is located near the Austrian border, just an hour's drive from Vienna and half an hour’s drive to Bratislava. 45% of the land is situated along the Morava River, featuring excellent soil quality, whilst the rest consists of lighter soils.

The consistent growth and development that the company has achieved since 2006 entailed expanding land areas, diversifying into specialty crops for enhanced returns and reduced climate impact, modernizing machinery and equipment for large-scale farming and precision agriculture, and recently a new grain silo facility with a capacity of 13,000 tons of grain.

In order to ensure continuous and dependable operations and growth, FirstFarms is adding a resource person to the leadership team and has created this new Production Director Field position. The new director must expect to settle in Slovakia, integrate, understand the local conditions, structure, and culture, and build relationships and networks within the community.

As the Production Director Field, you will report to COO Søren G. Nielsen and become part of the company's leadership team, which includes the COO, you, Production Director Milk for the 3,000-head dairy herd, Internal Lawyer and leader of the land division, the HR responsible and the Chief Accountant in the finance and accounting department. Together, you will plan ongoing initiatives and coordinate operational tasks. Production Director Field – Leader of the Production and 55 Team Members
As the Production Director Field, you will be responsible for running the core business, the complex crop farming operation, making sure that it runs optimally during the growing season from end of February to early December.

During the low season, you will initiate the preparation of agricultural machinery, entering of new field plans and allocation maps into the management system, and ensure that the staff is well-informed and instructed in executing their tasks.

In general, you will have leadership and personnel responsibilities for the entire production team with 7 mid-level managers for crop farming and workshop, agronomists and spare part and grain stock manager all refer to you.

Additionally, you will be responsible for hiring and terminating hourly-paid employees in production, which is carried out in collaboration with the HR staff, maintaining a positive work environment with clearly defined tasks and attractive personnel matters such as meal arrangements, overtime pay, and vacation scheduling.

As a person, you are comfortable using the organisation. Even after a thorough introduction and delegation of tasks, you are encouraged to go to anyone within the organisation for sparring. In other words, making reasonable preparations for decisions will strengthen your leadership role and the success of uncompromising implementation. Passionate Crop Grower and IT Enthusiast
Professionally, you are an expert within crop cultivation, production planning, and logistics execution, making decisions based on knowledge, analysis, and data. You are up to date with precision agriculture opportunities and are interested in new cultivation methods and climateadapted solutions. You are the one who instructs and assists machinery operators in using new technology.

You will review the budget for operations and investments together with Søren, sparring with the internal agronomist regarding land expansion, field plans, crop rotation, variety selection, and allocation of consumables based on soil sample results.

You enjoy cloud-based IT management programmes, such as Microsoft Office, and especially Excel. You are or will become a superuser for efficient handling of administrative tasks in order to obtain data quickly. Your Future – Personal Development and New Initiatives
