European Energy is a green company with exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate projects within solar- (PV) and wind farms globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.

Your new department

As our new PV Project Engineer, you will be part of our EPC department which handles all the engineering activities within our Danish building programs and plays an important role in the design of our international building programs. The PV Design team´s main responsibilities are to support the Project/Development department in the different project stages from Greenfield to Ready-to-Build, and later on EPC in the construction stage. We navigate between in-house design and subcontractors’ design including a multi-contracting approach where sub-contractor management is a big part of the daily routines. The team currently consists of 7 people.

Your new role

As a PV Project Engineer, you will support the design of PV projects in the development and construction stages, working on the construction documentation including, Electromechanical, Civil - Structural, and Communications, providing CAPEX inputs, and performing Energy yield assessments. You will coordinate and collect project information from project developers and other related EPC engineering disciplines. AutoCAD, Excel, and PVsyst will be your main working tools.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Preliminary site assessments, and analyzing the feasibility of technology (Inverters, substructure, etc.).
  • Validating and ensuring the right definition of constraints in coordination with the developer & Project department.
  • Performing Energy Yield Assessments from Development to construction stages.
  • Be responsible for the Planning and Construction layouts for Utility-Scale Solar Projects. (Although you will be supported by PV designers, it should be expected to perform the fine-tuned corrections yourself and support the team in high workload situations).
  • Drafting Single Line Diagrams & SCADA/Monitoring Diagrams.
  • Creating BoM on preliminary assessments and construction stage.
  • Coordinating construction drawings with internal and external resources and generating typical details on specific electromechanical & civil matters in coordination with other EE engineering teams by related standards, manuals, and manufacturer instructions (Inverter installation, structure installation FT/SAT, earthing details, wiring management details, roads, transformer installation, etc.).

To thrive in the job, we imagine that you have

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical or relevant engineering disciplines with a solid knowledge of electrical design.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience on utility-scale PV projects.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills with Layouts, Construction details and SLDs
  • Background working with PVsyst or similar Energy Yield simulation software.
  • Background on PV design software like PVcase is a plus.
  • Background on GIS software like QGIS is a plus.
  • Experience in design over complex topography, earth moving works and DMT terrain models is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects.
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • You will be part of a rapid growing company within the green transition.
  • We have an entrepreneurial approach to our work. In the daily life it means there’s not far from thought to action, and you will have trusted responsibilities no matter of your seniority.
  • We have a mutual respect for each other, our time, and ideas.
  • You will have ample opportunity to engage socially across the departments. We have a monthly Friday get-together as well as sport events such as a running-, football-, and mountain bike club.
