Job Description - Quality Test Engineer II

Software E ngineer with QE automation focus

About the team

You will be joining our Integrations team at our office in Aalborg to help design, build, and support a world class product called Pure: the leading research information system trusted by research institutions across the globe. The focus of the team is to help our clients seamlessly bring data into Pure from across the research world.

Your role will primarily focus on working collaboratively with the team to ensure the quality of our solutions through automation. In addition to conducting testing activities, you will also play a crucial role in inspiring developers to write code that is more testable. By promoting best practices and providing guidance, you will help developers improve the testability of their code. Furthermore, you will be responsible for automating testing processes, including the testing of functional and customer requirements. This automation will streamline the testing workflow and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our testing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Building and expanding upon our current a utomated test suite in cooperation with the team .
  • Early in-development testing .
  • Scheduling, performing, and reporting on test task execution, including system tests, regression testing, and defect tracking.
  • Being a team player and having a positive and curious mindset.
  • Write well-tested, documented and peer-reviewed code.

Requirements

Experience with Java , Typescript, or similar OO language .

Understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals.

Effective communication skills in English.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively .

Experience with agile engineering practices such as TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, automated testing, and Kanban are an advantage .

Knowledge in Playwright , Cucumber or similar testing tools is an advantage , but not mandatory .
