We are seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. As a member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building and operating data solutions based on business requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

Who will you be working with?

Our Global IT organization is all about empowering the teams to get the best results for our patients. You will become part of a newly established product team who are responsible for the cross-functional data platform and data services for analytical purposes. Our approach to data projects is not only about creating the solution but more about how we can make a difference for our patients.

You will report directly to People Leader in Global IT, Lene Rhein Larsen who is based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Take part in business-oriented data projects
• Design and blend data from multiple sources
• Explore and understand new technologies where applicable
• Build scalable data models and use good practice visualizations

Qualifications and Skills:

We are looking for a person who knows their technology and how to make it work for business. You could hold a master’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering or something completely different. Your mindset and approach are just as important.

Ideally you are well versed with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, and Pharma domain knowledge is a plus.

Furthermore, you have:

• +3 years of experience with Databricks and with data engineering – and hands-on developing in python and T-SQL.
• You have experience with designing and delivering data solutions, data load patterns and data platform architecture.
• Hands on experience in Databricks, PowerBI and Kimabll data modelling
• Ability to understand Business data & Processes and create rapid prototypes
