Job Description - (Senior) Clinical Contract Manager

We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets.

We are seeking a passionate (Senior) Clinical Contract Manager to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in contracting with clinical sites and service providers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will be joining Global Trial Strategy & Support department consisting of 8 colleagues within different support groups that all share the same passion for providing excellent support to our colleagues in Clinical Operations.  You will report directly to Annette Derouin, Senior Director of Global Trial Strategy & Support who is based in Hellerup, Denmark. You will be based in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participates in/manages the preparation and finalization of agreements with clinical sites such as non-disclosure agreements, site contracts & budgets and amendments.
  • Participates in/manages the preparation and finalization of agreements with clinical service providers such as non-disclosure agreements, work orders and change orders.
  • Supports colleagues in Site Contracts & Budgets and Global Clinical Outsourcing with various tasks such as tracking and filing of documentation.
  • Develops/contributes to processes, standards, and templates to ensure contract management efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains relationship with Clinical Operations groups, Legal, Finance, and other internal and external stakeholders participating in the processes within areas of responsibility.

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Life sciences – and 3 years of experience within clinical site contracting, clinical outsourcing, and/or clinical operations.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in use of supportive techniques for structuring multiple assignments
  • Organizational skills, including ability to stay abreast of changing priorities and manage accordingly
  • English skills at a professional level, both written and spoken

You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can-do attitude.

You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key.  

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be structured and know how to balance between detail and progress to deliver within timelines.

Travel: Approximately 10 days per year.
