ABOUT THE TEAM

The Unzer Data Team focuses on providing advanced analytical dashboards and data extracts to different departments and entities within our organization. We’re responsible for making data available across the Unzer group in a secure, reliable, and user-friendly way.

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Data Engineering team to develop and enhance our state-of-the-art Data Lake and reporting systems on AWS infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to engage in challenging projects and support key stakeholders, including CXOs, Financial Controlling, Sales, Risk, Operations, and Product teams, by analyzing complex data and providing meaningful and actionable business insights.

What your work will look like:
  • Analyse data from different entities, systems, development of complex aggregation logic using SQL and Python
  • Analyse and elaborate reporting requirements to provide efficient Data analytics solutions via Tableau or one of the other interfaces, closely collaborating with Data engineering and other departments
  • Be responsible for driving data analysis and reporting projects from start to end, working closely and directly with senior management and business stakeholders
  • Provide support in ongoing ad hoc and operational reporting activities – related to management reporting, financial reporting, supporting business operations, compliance, and audit reporting requirements etc.
  • Contribute towards developing, continuously improving, and maintaining an enterprise Data Lake on AWS
What you need to be successful in this role:
  • You are very proficient in SQL and Python (4y+)
  • You have proficiency in BI and analytics tools such as Tableau (3y+)
  • You have experience with ETL and data transformation tools such as Apache Airflow and DBT (2y+)
  • You have knowledge of classical data warehousing such as AWS Redshift
  • You are an effective communicator and thrive when working in a team
  • You are flexible, committed and have a zeal to work on challenging initiatives taking ownership of your work comes naturally to you
