We are looking for a Senior Director, SAP Finance, Procurement & Data to lead our global technology landscape supporting finance and procurement processes. In this role, you will shape strategy, drive large-scale transformation, and ensure delivery of business-critical solutions across the enterprise.

About the Area

You will join the VP area SAP & Ecosystems, being responsible for delivering scalable, compliant SAP and data solutions to the global finance and procurement organization. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders across EVP areas, ensuring strong global delivery and operational excellence, and the enablement of data and AI-driven processes.

About the role

As Senior Director, SAP Finance, Procurement & Data, you will have end-to-end accountability for Novo Nordisk's SAP Finance and Procurement platforms and the related data capabilities supporting these critical business functions. Acting as a trusted partner to senior business leaders across the organisation, you will define the future technology landscape, drive a significant global portfolio of initiatives, and ensure strong alignment between business priorities and technology delivery.

You will lead a global leader-of-leaders organisation of approximately 90 colleagues across Denmark and India, bringing together highly skilled SAP and data professionals who deliver business-critical digital capabilities. Through strong leadership and strategic direction, you will foster a high-performing culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

A key aspect of the role will be shaping how data and AI can transform finance and procurement processes. By leveraging modern technologies and market-leading AI solutions, you will help enhance decision-making, increase automation, improve user experiences, and unlock new business value across Novo Nordisk.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and driving the global technology strategy and roadmap for SAP Finance, Procurement and Data.


• Leading a large global portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring effective prioritisation, funding, and execution.


• Ensuring stable, scalable, compliant, and future-ready SAP and data platforms.


• Driving simplification, standardisation, and digitalisation of core finance and procurement processes.


• Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across Novo Nordisk to build alignment and momentum around strategic priorities.


• Leading the adoption of AI capabilities across the SAP and data landscape to create measurable business impact.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring extensive leadership experience from large-scale technology organisations and a strong understanding of how digital capabilities can enable business transformation. You have successfully operated in complex global environments and are comfortable engaging with senior executives while leading large, geographically distributed teams.

We expect that you have:

• A master's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field.


• Significant leadership experience within IT, ERP solutions, finance, procurement, or a combination of these areas.


• A proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale global transformation programmes.


• Strong knowledge of finance and procurement processes, supported by a solid understanding of enterprise data capabilities.

As a leader, you combine strategic thinking with strong business acumen. You build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels, navigate complexity with confidence, and create clarity in ambiguous situations. You are recognised for your ability to influence, inspire followership, and lead with integrity while continuously challenging the status quo and driving improvement.
