Cards & Payments has a long history of providing high-availability services to our customers across Denmark to support their daily banking needs. At the same time during the last 5-10 years, the payments-landscape has been going through a rapid & constantly accelerating transformation, led by innovative Fintech’s, industry standardization, regulation, and changing customer behavior.

Cards & Payments at Bankdata is on the path to transforming into a product-based organization to establish strong product leadership and take a leading market position at the forefront of living up to ever-increasing customer expectations.

What challenges will you take on?

You will manage a software engineering team within the organization; the team’s mission is to develop and maintain payment initiation services.

You will also lead with a people-first agenda, focusing on building and developing autonomous teams, driving agile ways of working, and fostering a competence development culture across the teams.

The area is part of the Digital Banking unit at Bankdata, which spans over 500 colleagues across Fredericia, Silkeborg, and Aarhus. In total, you will have 9 direct references in our Fredericia office.

In short, your main accountabilities will be to:

• Drive Agile ways of working and team competence development.

• Drive technical modernization.

What do you bring to our organization?

You have at least a couple of years of leadership experience managing multiple agile software teams. You have a technical background as a software engineer or architect, and you bring your expertise to the table when discussing the technical roadmap or guide and spare with peers and software engineers alike.

On top of that, you come with strong experience from a product organization where you have a track record in building and nurturing autonomous high-performance teams, driving a DevOps agenda and agile-first mindset, and fostering a people-first culture emphasizing growth & development.

You thrive in an environment where you’re also navigating and managing internal and external stakeholders, technical and business-focused. Lastly, you thrive working on strategic visions and roadmaps and translating them to actions and deliverables – together with your leadership peers in Cards & Payments.
