Senior Java Developer

At KMD, we continuously adapt to the changing needs of our customers and society, seizing the opportunities they present. We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our consultancy team—someone eager to shape how we develop and deliver the solutions our clients rely on.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of our consultancy team within KMD Operation. Our mission is to be the preferred partner for our clients when it comes to application maintenance, development, and modernization. Our assignments range from small advisory engagements and maintenance work to pilot, modernization, and full-scale development projects. The consultancy team is involved across the entire value chain—from client dialogue, sales, and consulting to proposal development and delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Application maintenance and further development


• Application modernization and development


• Setting up and automating CI/CD tools


• Advising clients on the selection of methods and tools, with a focus on developer experience


• Estimating and documentation 

About you

You work in a structured and dedicated manner, taking strong ownership of your tasks. You are a strong communicator, capable of conveying complex messages, and skilled at building solid relationships to achieve great results.

It’s a big plus if you can tick off several of the following:

• Solid experience with Java, Weblogic, preferably in a cloud-native architecture and tool stack


• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, including Kafka


• Experience in API design, management, and development, including security aspects


• A professional background in computer science/software development or equivalent


• A minimum of five years of relevant software development experience


• Fluency in Danish and English at a professional level
