Senior Operations Engineer

As a Senior Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stable operation of the Nexta software platform and infrastructure. Your main objective will be to maintain a smoothly running system with high-quality software in production. Responsibilities include overseeing software operations, providing technical support, managing our Kubernetes cluster and other infrastructure, developing monitoring and alerting solutions, handling the release process, and investigating and documenting technical incidents. This role reports to the Head of Platform Operations and Insights, Antons Fronovics.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

• Monitor platform configuration, ensure database integrity, and develop tools and solutions for monitoring and administration.
• Provide technical support to Nexta's Client Success team, including incident handling, cross-team collaboration, and documentation.
• Proactively monitor services and infrastructure to detect and resolve potential issues, such as disk and database capacity limitations and anomalies in exceptions.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions, processes, and alerts to aid system monitoring, and develop tools for operational tasks for the Operations or Client Success teams.
• Ensure smooth production releases with minimal downtime, redundancy, and fault tolerance, in collaboration with Client Success and Quality Assurance representatives.
• Report on platform performance and stability to management accurately and promptly.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR...

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience working with software engineering, DevOps, and operations.
• Experience in C# and .NET software development.
• Experience working with Azure cloud solutions and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of software and infrastructure monitoring tools and practices.
• Experience working with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience managing the release process.
• Excellent incident resolution skills.
• Fluency in English.

TOP 3 GOALS IN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS COULD BE...

• Document and map all provisioning processes (e.g., campaign creation) to develop a monitoring and integrity-checking solution for preventative maintenance.
• Create a platform monitoring playbook and start the implementation process.
• Use AI-enabled tools to streamline at least one work process.
