We are looking for a Senior Process Development Scientist to join our team.

Novo Nordisk Foundation Cellerator is poised to spearhead advancements in the cell therapy ecosystem by establishing and operating a state-of-the-art process development and GMP manufacturing facility. This initiative is integral to fulfilling the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s strategic emphasis on regenerative medicine and the mission is to accelerate the progress of cell-based therapies toward clinical trials within Denmark's cell therapy ecosystem and beyond, thereby fostering significant growth in the field of stem cell-based therapies, for the benefit of patients. Cellerator will operate as a philanthropic entity dedicated to the development and manufacturing of cell-based therapies, serving both academic institutions and the industry alike.
The Job
You will be given a lot of responsibility from day one. You will be part of an international and purpose-driven working environment with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Your key tasks will include:
o Leading the development and scale-up of cell therapy manufacturing processes
o Designing and executing experiments to optimize cell culture conditions, media formulations, and bioreactor parameters, GMP readiness and manufacturability.
o Collaborating within our team and with our customers to ensure technology transfer and support the prioritization and coordination of process development activities.
o Implementing and validating new technologies and methodologies to improve process efficiency, product quality, and safety.
o Analyzing data and preparing technical reports, standard operating procedures in collaboration with our manufacturing team, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
o Staying up to date with the latest advancements in cell therapy and bioprocessing technologies.
o Support the project team with non-lab based tasks such as scouting and assessing the quality of new equipment or reagents, perform risk assessment, prepare report documents directed to the customer.
About you
Due to the novel nature of Cellerator, curiosity outside of one’s own area is highly valued. You pride yourself with your analytical mindset and structured approach to your tasks. Your former colleagues still talk about your excellent stakeholder management skills, and they miss working with you due to your ability to create both results and good relationships with the people around you. You hold a PhD in the field of cell therapy, stem cell biology, stem cell engineering or closely related ATMP field.
We also imagine that you have:
· 3+ years of experience from a similar role
· Strong knowledge of cell culture techniques, bioreactor operation, and process optimization and scale up/scale down
· Experience with pluripotent stem cell-based work, including undifferentiated cell culture and expansion, ideally both in 2D and 3D (bioreactors), as well as differentiation into specific cell types
· Experience with technology transfer and scale-up of manufacturing processes
· Previous experience with Design of Experiment (DoE) is an advantage
· Basic knowledge of analytical assays applicable to stem cell research is desirable
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
