Are you passionate about regulatory compliance and eager to make an impact in a global organization? Hempel is looking for a dedicated Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our dynamic Regulatory Affairs team within the R&D Operational and Product Support sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet all relevant laws and regulations worldwide.

Location: Lyngby, Denmark Language Requirement: Fluent in Danish and English

About the Role:
As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that Hempel’s products comply with international laws and regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across all segments of our organization, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Quality, Supply Chain, and Legal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance: Track and interpret Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, ensuring compliance with biocidal legislation globally.
  • Dossier Management: Prepare Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) dossiers/data packages and conduct Human Health Risk Assessments and Environmental Risk Assessments for biocidal products.
  • Regulatory Strategy: Analyze and assess impacts of new regulatory changes, maintain product approvals, and approve test protocols with external laboratories.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, government bodies, and key internal stakeholders. Engage proactively in regulatory meetings and consultations.
  • Collaborative Improvement: Work collaboratively with our R&D teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance excellence across all our product lines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: A technical degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Regulatory Affairs, with a deep understanding of EU regulatory legislation and directives. Experience in the coating industry is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken ) and proficiency in Danish.
    • Proven ability to build effective relationships with regulatory authorities, government officials, customers, and senior executives.
    • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality results on time.
    • Team player with a continuous improvement mindset, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.
