Senior Specialist Laboratory Technician (Temporary until July 2025) to our site at Ll. Skensved. What if you could work for a cause, not just a company?
We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated person who can help us carry out our mission: To create innovative solutions that both progress medical research and maintain the highest standards of laboratory animal care.
Your main responsibility is to perform various laboratory and administrative functions to support health testing, murine biospecimen services, environmental monitoring program, flow cytometry, qPCR and quality control of raw materials. Responsibilities include the following: (previous experience preferred but not required)

• Handling and performing health testing including conducting physical exams, gross necropsy and dissection and evaluation of lesions and other abnormalities on mice and rats.
• Perform clinical parasitology examinations using various test methods.
• Aseptic collection of samples for serology, microbiology, pathology, and molecular testing of mice and rats.
• Perform Environmental Monitoring on OF barriers using Emtek air sampling and shipping.
• Collect/ship samples for Murine Biospecimens (MBS) from mice and rats as per client request.
• Perform Flow cytometry testing on samples for Taconic PRM animals to determine the immune cells present.
• Perform Quality control testing of raw material for European sites.
• Assist with setting up new assays for qPCR and perform all aspects qPCR including extraction, sample receipt and genotyping.
• Maintain physical order and cleanliness of laboratory.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The team will provide training for all responsibilities as we don’t expect you to have experience in all areas. We are looking for a person who is flexible and willing to learn new techniques and being able to work independently but also as a team player. Your profile:

• Has an education as laboratory technician and BSC, MSC or similar.
• Has extended experience in a similar function.
• Highly self-motivated, d etailed oriented and likes both laboratory and administrative functions.
• Clear verbal and written communications skills in Danish and English.
• A genuine positive work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment and in an international setup.
