Job Description - SEO Tech Specialist - Internship fall 2024

Are you passionate about web development and web design? And are you interested in learning more about the technical aspects of SEO?

We are welcoming a technical specialist with a passion for web development -and design to join our Tech team in Copenhagen. If you are enrolled in technical studies in Denmark, and want to see how you can apply all of your competencies and skills within SEO through an internship this fall, keep reading!

THE INTERNSHIP ROLE


As a Tech Specialist intern you will receive an introduction to our work with SEO from a technical perspective. We will provide the necessary support and training for you to gain hands-on experience alongside your studies or in relation to career growth in tech, marketing or IT.

In this role, you will gain experience working externally with clients, enhancing their marketing efforts through organic marketing. You will do this through either or both of the design and development methodologies.




ABOUT YOU


We are seeking a technical SEO intern pursuing a technical degree or with self-taught skills in web development and/or web design.

Development is a unique field where we recognize that a lot of people are self-taught to a high degree of proficiency prior to even starting their formal education, if this is you, or you’re entirely self-taught, that’s not a negative. What we value above all else, is a general and thorough understanding of web basics and being able to apply this in a creative way, instead of only sticking to a ‘recipe’.

Most importantly, you have an interest in technical SEO, web development, and web design, paired with excellent communication, proactivity and problem-solving skills. Being structured, adaptable, independent, and innovative with a desire to learn. We value strong collaboration skills, analytical abilities, curiosity and a growth mindset.




TASKS AND AREAS OF LEARNING


As we work with both the more technical side of resolving errors on websites to ensure crawlability and indexability, and also work with designing and developing new websites from the ground up, we have two potential profiles we could see take the position.




For web development, you should bring some experience in:

  • Web development knowledge
  • Bug fixing and troubleshooting skills
  • Technical advice for CMS platforms
  • Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

For design, you should have some skills in:

  • Design skills for mockups, wireframing, and branding
  • Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, and/or Webflow
  • Front-end web development
  • Client communication and effective time management

We emphasize a willingness to learn, tackle new challenges, and work creatively with fresh perspectives and a solid understanding of basic principles. You will gain practical experience in marketing/SEO and agency operations, learning from experienced technicians and engaging in new projects.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION


The internship is expected to begin in August or September 2024 and will last for a duration of 3-6 months. We welcome applications for both part-time and full-time positions. The deadline for applications is July 1st, 2024. Interviews will be conducted throughout July and early August.

We will accommodate school related activities, assignments etc. into your work schedule. If you need any other flexibility for this internship, please let us know in the application. There will be a possibility of staying with us after the internship.
